Either Kaspersky is unable to remove existing anti-virus software from the host machine or the existing anti-virus software is blocking Kaspersky from running. A full list of software known to cause this issue can be found here. The Fatal error message inside Kaspersky can be caused by a conflict between a third-party antivirus software that was installed in the past on your PC, or because of the Host files that are needed to connect the Kaspersky installer to the download servers.
Searching on this I mostly found it as an error when trying to do an install. The only suggested fix I've found so far is to manually remove a folder from the client. I'm trying to find a solution that won't require touching each workstation.
